By 21 April 2026No Comments

On 25 March 2026, we will be taking part in the final conference of the Erasmus+ project DESIG*ness, hosted by the Vilnius Academy of Arts at the Design Innovation Centre in Vilnius.

An opportunity to share results and prospects

The closing conference marks the culmination of the DESIG*ness project, which has focused on inclusion and accessibility in arts education and design. During the day, project partners, researchers, designers and stakeholders will share results, reflections and future prospects, building on the work carried out over recent years as part of DESIG*ness.

The event will also provide an opportunity to take a broader look at how design education can address contemporary social challenges by incorporating accessibility, equality and inclusion into creative practices and educational programmes.

The programme

The morning will begin with opening remarks from the Vilnius Academy of Arts, followed by presentations from the project partners. These include Federica Doglio from NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Benedetto Puccia from BAM! Strategie Culturali, Saulius Jusionis from the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Vineta Kreigere from the Art Academy of Latvia, and Luca Poncellini from NABA.

The afternoon programme will also feature presentations by Jonas Liugaila, Rokas Kilčiauskas and Rusnė Kirtiklytė, followed by the closing round table discussion “Beyond Accessibility: What Does Inclusion Really Mean?”, moderated by Audronė Drungilaitė-Čepienė, director of the Design Innovation Centre at the Vilnius Academy of Arts.

The event will be held in English and is open to the public, subject to registration by 20 March 2026.
