Il 5 e 6 maggio il Museo Pignatelli di Napoli ospiterà Wikimuseums, un evento su musei e open data realizzato da BAM! Strategie Culturali in collaborazione con il Polo museale della Campania e grazie al supporto del bando “Le Sfide delle Città” promosso dall’Ambasciata del Regno dei Paesi Bassi a Roma.
Siamo entusiasti nel presentare una due giorni di workshop e incontri che tra pratica e teoria cercherà di stimolare i musei italiani ad aprirsi al proprio pubblico, parlando di open data, lavorando su Wikipedia e prendendo spunto da alcuni casi particolarmente virtuosi.
La prima giornata, giovedì 5 maggio, sarà dedicata a un gruppo di studenti con i quali ci lanceremo in un editathon all’ultimo sangue focalizzato su luoghi e monumenti di Napoli.
Venerdì 6 maggio sarà invece la giornata di punta per la quale aspettiamo gli operatori del settore, gli studiosi, i culturegeek più incalliti e tutti i curiosi. Insieme a noi di BAM! ci sarà il network olandese Open Cultuur Data e alcuni importanti musei italiani ed europei.
Il pomeriggio sarà dedicato alla pratica: un gruppo di operatori potrà partecipare a un workshop incentrato su Wikipedia e sul suo utilizzo in ambito museale.

Che aspettate a iscrivervi? Il 20 aprile si chiudono le call![:en]On the 5th and 6th of May, the Museo Pignatelli in Naples will host Wikimuseums, an event on open data and museums organised by BAM! Cultural Strategies in collaboration with the Polo museale della Campania and with the support of the event “City Challenges” organised by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Rome.
We are excited to present two days of workshops and meetings, which through practice and theory will try to encourage Italian museums to be more open with their audience, talking about open data, working on Wikipedia, and taking inspiration from some particularly virtuous cases.
The first day, Thursday, 5th of May, will be devoted to a group of students who alongside us will be thrown into a last ditch effort editathon focused on places and monuments in Naples.
Friday, 6th May however, will be the day when we will welcome the employees related to the sector, academics, the most hardened culturegeeks and all the curious. Alongside us here at BAM! There will be the Dutch network Open Cultuur Data and some important Italian and European museums. The afternoon will be devoted to practice: a group of employees will be able to participate in a workshop focused on Wikipedia and its use in museums.
