The DIMMI Diari Multimediali Migranti competition closed to entries on 20 May
This competition, targeted at people of foreign origin or provenance, was created to combat migration stereotypes through self-narration and asks for entries of autobiographical stories told in written or multimedia form, including videos, photos and audio.
The fourth edition has been a big success, with increased engagement and more than 120 stories submitted by authors from dozens of different countries.
The stories will be kept at the Archivio Diaristico Nazionale in Pieve Santa Stefano (Arezzo). The winners will be announced in September 2019 during the 35th Premio Pieve and will be published in a book by Terre di Mezzo.
DIMMI Diari Multimediali Migranti is organised by DIMMI di Storie Migranti, a project promoted by the Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione e lo Sviluppo, headed by the non-profit organisation Un ponte per… and involving forty-seven different partners across the country.
BAM! looked after the communication strategy and managed some of the channels. We talk about the project and our role here. We recently launched a new section of the DIMMI site called Incontri, which resembles a kind of family album, which we describe here
