A ready-to-use kit to improve accessibility at concerts

By 29 April 2025No Comments

In 2024, we continued to support the KeepOn Live team for Il Concerto Che Vorrei, a participatory project launched in 2022 to map and analyse the needs of audiences, artists and live music venues in Italy. The aim is to improve the accessibility of venues and performances, starting with the three fundamental pillars of the project itself: gender balance, disability, social inclusion and diversity.

In October and November, we held three free training sessions for the KeepOn Live community on the topics of Audience Development, Cultural Welfare, Accessibility, and Accessible Communication.

But that’s not all! During the project, we developed two practical tools, based on the needs that emerged from three years of analysis and discussion with venues, music industry professionals and the public:

  • a communication kit, reserved for live clubs and festivals associated with KeepOn Live, with ten ready-to-use online and offline products designed to meet venues’ communication needs
  • a best practice kit, with case studies, guidelines and practical advice on accessibility and diversity, gathered from different areas of the international cultural sector.

The latter tool is available free of charge on the project website and is designed as a useful guide to help navigate the various solutions already tested by other organisations to improve their services and approaches to accessibility. The best practice kit contains ideas and solutions that can be adapted and applied to your own context: from managing communication channels to designing spaces, from devising services to gathering feedback from the public.

Check out the best practice kit!
