Spaesaggi Festival – testing the future in the Apennines

By 29 August 2025No Comments

The third Spaesaggi Festival gets underway in the Bolognese Appennines

The village of Campolo, in the municipality of Grizzana Morandi, is the pilot village in Emilia-Romagna selected under the Borghi Linea A call for proposals, funded by the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan). For around a year, BAM! has been supporting the village’s regeneration with strategic guidance aimed at developing intangible interventions to foster social, cultural and economic revitalisation.

Find out how BAM! is working alongside the Comune di Grizzana Morandi in this project.

This project led to the creation of the Spaesaggi Festival, promoted by the Comune di Grizzana Morandi and the Unione dei Comuni dell’Appennino Bolognese, in collaboration with the Regione Emilia-Romagna. Now in its third year, the festival transforms this part of the Bolognese Apennines into a crossroads of sounds, sights and cultures – a scattered event that combines music, exploration of the local area and active community participation.

The programme features six evenings with artists from around the world, a significant focus on music education, walking and cycling excursions, workshops and events designed to engage the local community. It offers an opportunity to promote the area and raise awareness of the regeneration project “Da Campolo l’Arte fa Scola”.

A workshop for Casa delle Arti

As part of the festival’s packed programme, BAM! is hosting a workshop on Friday 11 July at 7 p.m., open to local artists and creatives. The session will provide a space to share ideas, visions and aspirations for the “Casa delle Arti”, a new cultural centre and hub for creative innovation to be established in the Complesso del Palagio, adjacent to the Rocchetta Mattei, thanks to the project.

This is an important opportunity to actively involve local people in shaping the new space that will be brought to life through the initiative.
