The process of renovation and community engagement continues at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Nuoro, which, from 24 to 26 October 2025, will be transformed into a multidisciplinary laboratory for ideas and experimentation.
For three days, the museum will open its doors to anyone who wants to get involved with new ideas and solutions to make the collections livelier and more engaging and to rethink the way we experience museums.
Inspired by the international Museomix format, NOVA is a gathering of museums and communities that brings together diverse skills. Makers, designers and experts (or enthusiasts!) in web development, communication, mediation and content creation work together, sharing tools and methodologies to envision and prototype new forms of museum experience.
Call for entries
The teams will be made up of eighteen participants to be selected via a public call for entries. The sought-after profiles span six areas:
- Making: from CAD to tailoring, DIY and mechanics
- Mediation: museography, scenography, UX/UI, sound and performing arts
- Content: archeology, art history, science, ancient languages
- Communication: writing, photography, video, community engagement
- Programming and development: web, software, hardware
- Design: illustration, graphics, design and web design
The call is open to people aged between 18 and 99 who are experts or enthusiasts in these areas and are ready to get involved and work as part of a team.
Participation requires a contribution of €20, which will partially cover the cost of meals and materials for the marathon. The fee will only be requested from those selected to take part, and payment will be collected at the end of the selection process.
