Fuoricinema is a festival, a non-stop marathon of daytime meetings and evening screenings stemming from the desire to collate life experiences, aspirations and reflections revolving around the world of cinema, entertainment, culture and information, and to circulate them as a shared heritage.
It is a Fondazione Riccardo Catella project produced by Fuoricinema Srl, Associazione Visione Milano, Corriere della Sera and Anteo, in collaboration with BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano and with the support of IBM Studios Milano.

The Project
Why?
The festival has been held in the first week of September for the last nine years. In the run-up to the tenth anniversary, the organisers felt it was necessary to establish a more solid and structured identity and a communication strategy aimed at positioning the event more firmly in the Milanese and national area, making it recognisable to an increasingly broad audience.
As in the case of the last two editions, this year too the theme of human, social and civil rights is the central focus of the meetings and talks with guests held from 6 to 8 September at the Biblioteca degli Alberi. The theme is therefore central in shaping the identity and communication strategy.
How?
Starting by analysing the graphic identity of previous editions and studying the channels used for promotion, BAM! came up with:
- a visual identity that aims to best express the values of the event and convey the central themes for this year to the public
- a digital communication strategy for positioning the festival better and reaching a broader and more diverse audience.
The visual identity for this ninth edition has been developed in the offline and online materials that will be used to advertise Fuoricinema’s programme, guests and screenings, and to narrate the festival’s proceedings through Facebook and Instagram channels before, during and after the event.
In fact, BAM! will also be present in Milan during the festival, providing live coverage of it.
