After the collaboration with the Cassero LGBT Center from 2013 to 2015 on Performing Gender, the European Project created and directed by Gender Bender Festival, we’re back to talk about contemporary dance and gender identity!

Here at BAM! We had the role of directing the project Performing Gender – Dance makes differencesone of the 82 projects (among 548 sent in) that the European Commission decided to support for the Creative Europe 2017-2019.

We have been trying to integrate the feedback received from 6 partners about a new project that we have drafted, outlining their common goals and collection artistic-cultural material. Finally, we gave the project shape and applied directly to the European Union, curating all parts: planning activities, budgeting, editing, graphics for the final dossier, filling out the e-form.

Alongside Gender Bender on this challenge there will be the Comune di Bassano del Grappa (Italy) and its Centro per la Scena Contemporanea, the festival City of Women from Ljubljana (Slovenia), the Theaterfestival Boulevard from ‘s-Hertogenbosch (Netherlands) Paso a 2 – Certamen Coreogràfico de Madrid (Spain), and Yorkshire Dance Center from Leeds (UK).

In the 2 years spanning the project, BAM! Will manage all aspects regarding web communication: rediting and creating content for the website, social media management and strategy, communication plans in accordance with the partners from the 5 countries, and so and so forth.

The next meeting with the partners will be at the end of august in Bassano during B-Motion, to organise and define the communication strategy for the project.
