An afternoon organised by BAM! and Museomix Italia to talk about increasingly topical issues in the cultural sector. We’re looking forward to seeing you on Friday 29 June from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Palazzo Pepoli – Museo della Storia di Bologna.
What subjects are on the agenda?
Are Italy’s museums, libraries, cinemas and theatres ready for open innovation? Can they handle an interdisciplinary approach? To what extent have the organisations become professionalised? How up-to-date are they with digital technology? These and other questions will be answered through the experiences of local and international institutions, invited to tell their story over the course of an afternoon at the Museo della Storia di Bologna.
Who will the guests be?
The following organisations have confirmed that they will attend:
- Erasme – Laboratoire d’Innovation Ouverte de la Métropole de Lyon,
- PACKED vzw – Centre of Expertise in Digital Heritage – Brussels,
- CREA – Mont Blanc – Chamonix,
- Istituzione Bologna Musei – Bologna,
- Barberini Corsini Gallerie Nazionali,
- Musei Civici di Reggio Emilia,
- CSAC – Centro Studi e Archivio della Comunicazione di Parma,
- Promemoria – Turin,
- Sirdar Électrique – Lyon,
- Museo Tolomeo – Bologna,
- CAOS Centro Arti Opificio Siri – Terni,
- Rock – Cultural Heritage leading urban futures
- Swapmuseum – Lecce
How can I take part?
The event is free of charge. It will be based on the Fishbowl Conversation model: the speakers will sit in the centre of the room and participants will find spaces around them, like in a large public space where everyone is called upon to interact, supported by a different moderator for each of the four subjects. Places are limited, so make sure you register by clicking here.
What does Aperture Straordinarie have to do with Museomix?
Following on from the events in Lyon, Brussels and Lille, we decided to host the summer meeting of Museomix’s international communities here in Bologna: two days during which everyone involved in the growth of Museomix worldwide can sit around work tables to improve and modernise its format. We felt that it was absolutely necessary to include a section open to the public, allowing the international guests to meet people working in the Italian cultural sector and creating an opportunity to present and share ideas, experiences and concerns.
Together with the Museomix Italia community, we therefore came up with Aperture Straordinarie, a meeting open to everyone and an invaluable chance to talk and share points of view in an informal setting, discussing everything related to open innovation and cultural participation!
See you at 2:30 p.m. on Friday 29 at Via Castiglione 8!
