The National Ordinary General Assembly in Ancona on 19, 20 and 21 April
This year the capital of the Marche region will host the National Ordinary General Assembly of ICOM Italia (International Council of Museums), the association that unites Italian museums and museum professionals. More than 140 representatives of member museums and museum professionals will meet in Ancona for the occasion.
The three-day event will get underway on Friday 19 April at the Ridotto room in the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, and will continue at the Mole Vanvitelliana and in the city’s symbolic locations. The assembly programme will include opportunities for in-depth discussion of museology topics, meetings and chances for direct contact with guest museums and their museum experiences.
Great emphasis will be placed on participation, involving guests in discussions and networking, thanks also to the activities of the Working Groups and Regional Coordination Branches.
The BAM! team will be present, together with the Fondazione Scuola Beni e Attività Culturali, to facilitate these moments and moderate some working sessions.
