Following on from Naples, Florence, Turin and Bologna, the fifth meeting of “PND in viaggio. Dialoghi con i luoghi del patrimonio” (PND on the road. Dialogues with heritage sites) will be held on Wednesday 28 May 2025 in Venice Mestre at the M9 – Museo del ‘900, starting at 9:00 a.m.
The aim of the meetings, organised by the Istituto centrale per la digitalizzazione del patrimonio culturale – Digital Library in collaboration with the Scuola nazionale del patrimonio e delle attività culturali, is to present the strategic vision of the National Plan for the Digitisation of Cultural Heritage (PND), promote a plan for the training and skills development of cultural professionals and collect best practices in the field of digital transformation.
The day is divided into two parts:
- a public conference in the morning.
- parallel sessions in the afternoon.
The public conference will present the Digital Library’s initiatives in the field of digital transformation, the strategy of the National Plan for the Digitisation of Cultural Heritage, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan M1C3 1.1 investment, the digitisation of cultural heritage, the Digital Ecosystem for Culture and the implementation of a training and skills plan (Dicolab). The round table discussion ‘Fra città e territorio: le reti nella costruzione di un ecosistema digitale per la cultura italiana’ (Between city and territory: networks in the construction of a digital ecosystem for Italian culture), led by Prof. Roberto Balzani, will provide an opportunity for discussion among key stakeholders in the region who are involved in the digital transformation.
The parallel sessions in the afternoon will be dedicated to exploring topics such as the design of digital services for culture and a co-design workshop to conceive and build new services with Ecomic.
