BAM! also played a part in the Creative Europe project and we will be in Rome on Friday 8th June to talk about it during the presentation of the results of the project.

The European cultural cooperation project In_NovaMusEUM included museums from suburban areas – far from urban cities – in several member states: Italy, Greece, Albania, Sweden and Portugal. Objective: to enhance their ability to attract new audiences by implementing audience development through the union of “Art & Food”, transnational mobility and training courses for art curators and museum directors.

During the workshop on Friday 8th June, from 9.30 am at the National Roman Museum – Palazzo Massimo alle Terme, the activities, documents and tools created by the five European partners will be shared with the aim of attracting the public, especially young people, to European museums in suburban areas through initiatives with the themes of art, food, and local area. Themes that lie at the basis of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 and of the program “2018 Year of Italian Food” – promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism – General Manager for Tourism with the Ministry of Agriculture – which will be illustrated during the meeting.

Guests will be welcomed by Daniela Porro – Director of the Museo Nazionale Romano – and by Giuseppe Lepore – President of the European Center for Tourism and Culture. Following an meeting held by Francesco Palumbo – Director General for Tourism at MiBACT in the European Year of Italian Food in the World. Alessandra Capezzuoli Ranchi – the Project Manager of In_NovaMusEUM, will introduce the project, following Giorgio Barbato – project communication and networking expert – will share documents and tools related to the project.

The day will be closed by Federico Borreani from BAM!, with a focus on Audience Development & Digital Engagement and Marzia Santone – Project Officer Creative Europe Desk Italy – Culture Office at MiBACT – on the Creative Europe program.

BAM!’s role in the InNovaMuseum project, was to support the target museums in developing the necessary skills, through a training course based on an introduction to audience development and through the presentation of case studies, and digital marketing, focusing on the utility of the Digital Engagement Framework in developing a true digital strategy of its museum.
