BAM! Strategie Culturali and Museomix Italia, supported by IBC – Istituto per i beni artistici culturali e naturali dell’Emilia Romagna, presents Fai community! Pratiche e metodi per creare una comunità attorno ai musei.
Fai community! This is a workshop targeted at museums, cultural organisations and creative enterprises, professionals and students, with a view to raising awareness about the importance of local engagement and the creation of networks, providing the tools and skills needed to create or expand communities. Between February and April 2019, it will be hosted at three cities in Emilia-Romagna, at three different cultural and community engagement spaces.
Fai community! Developed as a result of Museomix Italia, by a group of cultural sector professionals and enthusiasts who organised and took part in the international Museomix format – the creative marathon within museums and for museums – between 2016 and 2018.
As well as providing training, the workshop will primarily focus on practical experience, introducing participants to the Museomix format through the presentation of a number of Italian and foreign editions, before asking them to map out their own local area to identify a community that meets the actual requirements of museums and other cultural institutions.
