Museo Fuori!’s call for entries is open. A challenge to take museums outside their walls

By 22 November 2021No Comments

From 16 to 24 October, there will be a special remix in Turin: an intercultural workshop to establish a dialogue between two museums and the city

There’s time to respond to Museo Fuori!’s call for entries until 30 September.

This year Museomix will be trialling a special format that actively involves local communities. The challenge: to make the museum heritage more accessible in the historically multicultural city of Turin.

For those who live in Turin and the surrounding area it will be an opportunity to meet other creatives and professionals, share expertise and, above all, get to know two of Turin’s museums on the inside: the Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano and the Museo di Arti Decorative – Fondazione Accorsi-Ometto.

Are you a content, cultural mediation, programming, communication, design or making expert? Then you’re exactly what we’re looking for! We want to create teams made up of individuals with different yet complementary profiles, for a total of eighteen people divided into three teams.

Each team will be tasked with conceiving, developing and publicly presenting a prototype that takes the museum collections outside the walls, exploring the themes (or playing fields) proposed by the museums and cultural organisations involved.

The initiative is being proposed by the Museomix Italia community, BAM! Strategie Culturali, the association Generazione Ponte and communication partner Dunter, as part of the Ritorno al Futuro project, backed by Compagnia di San Paolo (2019 call for proposals).

The call for entries is open until 30 September!

Find out more on the Museomix Italia website and put yourself forward to take part.
