Long-term support for Modena’s innovative cultural hub

The Project

AGO Fabbriche Culturali is Modena’s cultural hub established thanks to the collaboration between Fondazione di Modena, Comune di Modena and the Università degli studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia.

AGO puts itself forward as a new local and national reference point for activities on the borderline between humanistic and scientific knowledge, spanning different fields: image, learning, experience, science and technology, and digital humanities. The numerous initiatives share the innovative approach adopted by AGO, centred around research and dialogue between analogue and digital, thanks also to a partnership that, in addition to the Centro interdipartimentale di ricerca sulle Digital Humanities dell’Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia (DHMoRe), also includes Future Education Modena and Fondazione Modena Arti Visive.

The project is based in the former Sant’Agostino hospital, which is undergoing major redevelopment work that will restore the monumental complex to the city in its new guise as a “cultural factory”.

Why?

BAM! is intervening with its communication team to enhance AGO’s interdisciplinary and innovative approach, to strengthen the organisation’s identity and its local and international positioning.

During this important start-up phase, the AGO spaces will remain open to the public with cultural events organised by AGO and its partnership, and will host the study, research and development activities that Future Education Modena, DhMoRe and Fondazione Modena Arti Visive carry out on a daily basis.

The ongoing activities, the progress of the redevelopment work, the history of the place and the partners’ activities all need to be illustrated through communication paths dedicated to specific targets, paths that often intersect with each other and offer a multiplicity of views.

How?

For AGO Fabbriche Culturali, BAM! is developing a new multi-channel communication strategy: from the identification of targets and strategic objectives to the choice of communication tools and channels.

Our team is also responsible for communication operations: social media, newsletters, website updates and digital engagement. We are being supported in this by Alpaca, an expert in visual communication and our partner responsible for the visual design of all the communication tools.

By implementing a multi-channel strategy, BAM! will also tell the story of the Sant’Agostino Complex site, involving local residents in the construction of a shared story.
