“Tutti i musei su Wikipedia” is a project promoted by Wikimedia Italia in partnership with ICOM Italia, Creative Commons Italia and the “Cognetti de Martiis” Department of Economica and Statistics at the Università di Torino. The project aims to involve Italian museums in Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects, helping them to develop their own Open Access Policy, to enhance and make their collections accessible online and thus reach new audiences and communities.
It is possible to sign up to the initiative free of charge on the Wikimedia Italia website. The ultimate goal is to make digital images and documents available via free licences or tools that can be used by anyone surfing the net.
