Così sarà! La città che vogliamo

Così sarà! La città che vogliamo is an audience engagement project targeted at young people aged 11-25 living in the metropolitan area of Bologna, with the objective of getting them involved in founding a new city.

Developed thanks to the theatre experience of those promoting the project, Così sarà! follows a path that goes beyond the artistic act, shaping tangible actions and policies. Workshops, shows and performances go hand-in-hand with real community engagement work.

The project will run from November 2019 to June 2021 and has been developed by a network of Bologna-based cultural organisations, coordinated by Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione and made up of Altre Velocità, Cassero LGBTI Center, Kepler-452, La Baracca – Testoni Ragazzi and Teatro dell’Argine.

Six organisations that have been working in the same area for years, focusing on similar themes and practices, have come together for the first time to create a major shared project after trying out a variety of different partnerships.

Thanks to Così sarà! a variety of different artistic and organisational skills will unite to form a network, while the respective audience communities will join forces, with the shared objective of engaging and mobilising the entire city.

In agreement with ERT Fondazione, BAM! will be developing the project’s communication strategy with a twofold objective: on the one hand effectively and clearly conveying the various different activities involved in Così sarà!, and on the other, implementing a communication style that can be used as an instrument for engagement, with the possibility for it to be modified and taken over by the project participants and audience.
