Looda – Looking for Data is a European project that has recently got underway, resulting from the collaboration between two children’s museums, the MUBA in Milan and Sladovna in Pisek (Czech Republic), the European network of children’s museums Hands-On! International, and BAM! Strategie Culturali.
How? With Europe-wide research aimed at understanding, on the one hand, how children’s museums and child-friendly museums are structured and, on the other hand, whether and how they are impact-oriented and how they collect the necessary data to assess it.
The aim of the project will in fact be to shape a toolkit capable of supporting these particular museums in collecting and organising the data necessary for impact analysis, laying the foundations for evaluation and facilitating the comparison of data collected by organisations on a European level.
The questionnaire, designed to support the research, is aimed not only at children’s museums, but also at all those “traditional” museums that have made their collections and services child-friendly.
