A day in Turin with the organisations involved in the “Linee Guida Formazione e l’avviamento alla professione culturale” (Guidelines on Training and Getting Started in the Cultural Profession) tender, promoted by the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. Here’s how it went!
Following the experiences in 2022 and 2023, the Dinamica network – formed by BAM! Strategie Culturali, Ideazione S.r.l. and Melting Pro – continues to support cultural organisations in Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta.
On 28 March 2024, we worked with the LGF network in the Toolbox space, focusing on cultural education and the importance of community, and discussing the progress of the co-design and networking process that we are all pursuing together.
The meeting concluded the year 2023-24, and was an opportunity to plan the network’s next steps.
The day was divided into three sessions based on three main themes:
- the cultural project manager profile
- the link between training and work
- trajectories towards the future
A team of guests and experts provided a new look at what the network is doing:
- Chiara Organtini, project manager, curator and artistic director of Lavanderia a Vapore in Collegno, spoke about the figure of the cultural project manager based on her work experience.
- Teresa Valentino (Regione Piemonte, expert in certifying skills and regulated professions) and Antonella Bertarello (Regione Piemonte, Education, Training and Employment Department, Training Standards and Permanent Guidance Sector) contributed their views on the day’s topics, focusing especially on the role of internships and the profile of the cultural project manager.
- Mara Loro, Project Manager and Director of Hangar Piemonte, shared her experiences both from the point of view of a project manager and that of an institution hosting trainees.
- Margherita Sani, university lecturer and project coordinator for NEMO – Network of European Museum Organisations, presented some European-level skill frameworks outlining certain trajectories regarding the future of emerging skills. She also looked at the “Charter” project, which focuses on the development of a European strategy for heritage professions.
Throughout the day, graphic facilitator Alessandra Zaffiro collected the highlights of the meeting, providing a visual representation of the LGF network’s journey.
