Dai, piantala! Crowdfunding campaign

Dai, piantala! is a civic crowdfunding campaign that has run between May and September 2019. Promoted by the Comune di Bologna, it gave people the chance to make a small donation towards installing new green areas in Piazza Scaravilli. The campaign achieved its initial goal and engaged more than 120 donors.

The initiative is being carried out in partnership with ROCK (Regeneration and Optimisation of Cultural Heritage in Creative and Knowledge Cities), a European project coordinated by the Comune di Bologna in collaboration with another thirty-two international partners. It is funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme with a view to drawing up a shared strategy for improving accessibility, rediscovering the cultural heritage offered by the university area and establishing actions and good practices for environmental sustainability.

The crowdfunding campaign aimed to collect €3,000 that will contribute towards the purchase and planting of trees and plants in new green areas at the four corners of Piazza Scaravilli. The project has also promoted good urban greening practices among the local public and raised awareness about environmental issues.

BAM! Strategie Culturali — boosted by its experience with the Radici crowdfunding campaign – supported the communication during the entire duration of the campaign. BAM! looked after creation and development of the coordinated image and logo for Dai, piantala! and ha also overseen social media and dissemination channels, elaborating a content strategy based on environmental issues, civic engagement and promotion of the university area and its cultural scene. Besides, BAM! has  supported the coordination of the project partners’ dissemination, it has managed the donors and the rewards.
